Best Names in Football Empty Best Names in Football

Post by the_hound Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:56 pm

There are some brilliant names in football. Exodus Geohaghon, for example. Or heroic Congo striker Bongo Christ. And we've always enjoyed the childish and delicious simplicity of Portuguese keeper Quim.

However, we think we've found the finest. For the name of India's captain in their Asia Cup match against Australia was...brace yourself...Climax Lawrence.

We know - how weird is it for an Indian to be called Lawrence?
