I love the Darts, i've been glued to the the TV all week.

Another shock today when Andy "Pieman" Smith beat Mervyn King.

The Anderson/Preistly match was the best i've seen this year

I´ll try to see as much matches as I can now because Roland Scholten is co-commentator for German TV.
Have you seen Suljovic? Quite impressive so far, will he have a chance against Wes Newton?

Watched it earlier, couldnt believe it when John Gwynne said that Priestly is now 60!!! To be competing so well at that level, at that age is phenomenal.

Gary Anderson could very well win it. The crowd seem to give him an awful time, they did so in Dublin too there in October at the Grand Prix when i was there. Not sure why, he seems a fairly level headed down-to-earth bloke.

Yeh, he's some character though. As is Sid Waddell.

A classic quote from Waddell:

"The atmosphere is so tense, if Elvis walked in, with a portion of chips...you could hear the vinegar sizzle on them"

I saw Suljovic beat Wade last night, though I suspect Wade was getting a little irritated by his antics every time he won a set.
Fair play to the bloke though, for a fella who reminds you of Mr Bean his wife's gorgeous.

As for John Gwynne, fuck me this makes me sound old but I remember him reporting on football matches on local Manchester radio in the 80;s, cracking bloke, as is Sid.

Strange thought about the Darts, Bristow is sat in the studio age 53. Dennis the Menace is 60.. so why the hell did Eric retire so early?

Not sure about Bristow, maybe the social life took centre stage Smile

Another thing,Rod Harrington is a sound bloke and all, but as a commentator he is an absolute wanker. He's doing my fucking head in.
